To help New Yorkers access and navigate clean energy programs and opportunities that are available, New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) created Regional Clean Energy Hubs. These Hubs provide information to individuals, small businesses, and affordable housing owners about ways to reduce energy use and costs, how to make more informed energy decisions and connect with the clean energy economy. EnergySmart CNY is the Regional Clean Energy Hub for Central New York, serving everyone living in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties.

Central New York Regional Planning & Development Board (CNYRPDB), Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE), and Greater Syracuse Works (GSW) make up EnergySmart CNY. Being part of the Hub enables GSW to grow the clean energy workforce by assisting individuals to connect with our network of community resources that can provide wrap-around services for barriers, as well as connecting individuals with hiring employers, training programs, and other pathways into the clean energy industry.

GSW also connects with businesses, schools, training programs, and other stakeholders to provide assistance with navigating NYSERDA workforce development programs and funding opportunities.
